AAA Snapshots
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) of East Texas provides a myriad of services to individuals 60 years of age and older. Services include Information, referral and assistance, benefits counseling; advocacy for nursing homes, assistance living facilities through the Ombudsman programs, case management, home-delivered and congregate meals, and home modification and transportation. Other services include health care maintenance, evidenced-based programs providing extensive training in Chronic Disease Self-Management, Chronic Pain, Diabetes Self-Management, and Matter of Balance to improve health conditions of older adults.

The Area Agency on Aging of East Texas
is designated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to coordinate services for persons in East Texas who are 60 or older, with particular attention to low-income minority older individuals, older individuals with limited-English proficiency, and older individuals residing in rural areas.
