On Tuesday, March 2, Governor Greg Abbott issued an Executive Order (EO) related to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Texas. The EO covered capacity limitations for businesses and the mask mandate that has been in effect since July 2, 2020.

Gov. Abbott's EO rescinded the mask mandate and allows businesses to operate at 100% capacity as of Wednesday, March 10.

Based on the information provided, long-term care facilities are encouraged to follow guidance from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) regarding visitations.
